One of the best teams of all time in the NCAA is Alabama Crimson Tide. This team started its journey in 1892 at the University of Alabama and has since claimed a whopping thirteen national championships! Right from the very start UA started winning and winning big. Since then it has all been uphill!

E.B. Beaumonet was the very first team head coach. The only reason the team was formed was because a law student named William G. Little had learned the game at his previous college and brought the love of the game to Alabama. Many people aren't aware they the name "Crimson Tide" was not used until the team adopted the name in 1907. The team's very first game was at a baseball park in Birmingham, Alabama. Bama won 56-0! Right then football teams everywhere knew that UA was a team to be feared.

Over twenty players for the team have been inducted into the Hall fo fame. Players like Don Hutsonwho was inducted in 1951 and played at UA from 1932-1934, Paul Bryant who was inducted in 1986 who not only played for the Alabama Crimson Tide team 1933-1955 but was also a head coach from 1958-1982, and Woodrow Lowe who was inducted in 2009 who was a line backer from 1972-1975. This team also has ten players who have been in the running for a Heisman Trophy! Mark Ingram was the only player to actually receive the trophy by the highest number of votes, and that was quite recent, in 2009.

The Alabama Crimson Tide football team has won a total of twenty six conference championships and has a bright future ahead of them. Nick Saban is the current coach and was previously the head coach of the Miami Dolphins. Saban has big hopes and dreams for Bama's near future. Keep in mind that Nick Saban and AU finished with a 12–0 regular season, and anything is possible with this great team and Bama fans backing them up one hundred percent. College football fans everywhere can't wait to see what exciting thing this team will do or what championship this team will win next!
